LONDON: Intelligence and law enforcement agencies including police and rangers Friday have been put on high alert after the issuance of warning from Scotland Yard over Mumbai-like terrorist attacks on London, Geo news reported.According to knowledgeable resources, Scotland Yard has warned business addresses in London of a 26/11-style terror attack, involving shooting and a prolonged siege by a small number of gunmen.
“Mumbai is coming to London,” the detective is said to have warned in a briefing 12 days ago. According to a daily report, the official said “companies should anticipate a shooting and hostage-taking raid, involving a small number of gunmen with handguns and improvised explosive devices”.
The intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been strictly directed to rapidly pass onto higher management any information and activities of suspected nature, sources said.
