ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's presenting a 2-0 series win to the mighty Australians on Wednesday has prompted reactions from all quarters including the corridors of power.
The Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar while speaking to Dawn on Wednesday said: “Winning and losing is all part of the game. The loss, no doubt, was disheartening and calls for greater effort on the players’ part in the future to win crucial fixtures.”
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was of the view: “There are good days and bad days on the field including both wins and losses, which are after all part of sports.”
The team played well on the first three days but failed to cash in on an opportunity on the fourth.”
Sources close to the selection committee said: “There may be a change in the team with young Sarfraz likely to be considered for the wicketkeeper’s slot. Still his joininging the team is yet to be confirmed.”
